“When we match compassion with purpose, we begin to change the World” - Zachariah Thompson. This weekend we welcome the 1st Quarter Moon in Cancer, shapeshifting into Leo on Saturday night. The 1st Quarter phase is about putting the past behind us, seeking individuality, & taking the initial action necessary to achieve your goals. This phase serves to clear away obstacles so that the manifestations of the New Moon phase (which happened in Aries on April 1st), will have a secure foundation to develop & grow. Because this 1st Quarter Moon is in Cancer, it will involve our emotions; our choices will come from the heart. On the 12th, there’s a Jupiter - Neptune Conjunction in Pisces, for the first time since 1856. Jupiter & Neptune meet up every 12 years, so this is the end of a 12 year cycle and the beginning of another, however it’s duet in Pisces is once-in-a-lifetime transit. Jupiter is the Planet of philosophy, & higher learning, as well as luck, expansion & adventure. Neptune is the Planet of Neptune of spirituality, sensitivity; the Unseen & Immortal, and also deception & addiction. Compassion is strongly emphasized by the Conjunction, it creates an atmosphere where we can feel that almost anything is possible, making it easier for us to fully embrace our spiritual self & creative instincts. However, it’s important to be aware that Neptune has the potential to bring deception and Jupiter has a tendency to expand: escapism, delusions, or a lack of boundaries could be an issue. Don’t get swept up in illusions during this transit, as confusion is likely & things may not be as they seem. Mercury enters the practical, hard working Earth sign of Taurus on the 10th, which will play an important role in helping us stay present & grounded. Mars enters Pisces on the 14th, inspiring us while also signaling the end of Mars’ cycle through the zodiacs, bringing us a completion, to make room for new beginnings when Mars subsequently enters Aries. The 16th we have a Full Moon in Libra, squaring Pluto in Capricorn. We will have an opportunity to illuminate & penetrate whatever has been unbalanced in life, areas requiring forgiveness, and where needs aren’t being met.
